We offer premium web hosting services, with the focus on value added extras, allowing us to differentiate ourselves from the competition. We occupy a niche above the bargain basement, high volume offerings, priding ourselves on our customer service and ability to offer flexible packages.

Currently our customers are using a mixture of the following technologies and products on our hosting platforms:

  • PHP with a raft of compiled in modules allowing image and PDF creation on the fly
  • mod_perl scripting
  • MySQL database backends
  • Postgres database backends
  • 'Shrink Wrapped' OpenSource Content Management Systems (CMS) and portal applications
  • Web based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications
  • J2EE running on Tomcat

Ackme Ltd is a Nominet Member. When you register a .uk domain name you are also entering into a contract with Nominet and you agree to their terms and conditions. This is a separate contract to any you may have with a third party for the provision of internet services. Please read before you register your domain name.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. All costs are in Pounds Sterling and exclude VAT which will be added to any invoice raised at the rate of 17.5%.
  2. Hosting packages do not include any domain registration fees.
  3. Excess bandwidth is charged at £4.00 per 1GB per month.
  4. Disk storage totals include webspace, stored email and database space where applicable. Extra disk storage is available at £20.00 per 1024MB per month, which will be applied if the storage limit for your package is exceeded.
  5. The Business Package includes upto 1 day (8 hours) of professional services support per annum. This is non-transferable from one 12 month period to the next. All other professional services support on this package and all support on any other package will incur professional services costs at a rate of £50.00 per hour, billable in whole hour units only.
  6. SSL based websites require a unique IP address per https instance. Each of these unique IP address incurs a cost of £5.00 per month. Commercially signed individual FQDN SSL certificates are available. Costs can be provided on application.
